On 15.12.2009 a roundtable was organised with the colloboration of Friedrich Naumann Foundation. In the roundtable, Peter Althammer from ARD Erstes Deutsches Fernsehen, Daniel Steinvorth from Der Spiegel and Michael Martens from Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung delivered speeches on “Turkey-EU” relations. On 19.10.2009 a conference was organised in which Prof.Dr. Edmund Weber from Goethe University delivered a lecture on “Institutional Relationship of Religion and State in Western European Countries”. The Conference was organised in collaboration with the Faculty of Theology-Dokuz Eylul Üniversity. Prof. Dr. Ali Ihsan Yitik and Dr. Bekir Zakir Coban from the Faculty of Theology participated to the conference as discussants.
